Disputed People Games selected for Xbox Game Camp Africa 2026

We are proud to announce that Disputed People Games has been officially selected to take part in Xbox Game Camp Africa 2026, a major milestone for our studio and our journey as African game creators.

Founded in 2020, Xbox Game Camp is a global initiative designed to empower the next generation of creators, storytellers, and game studios. The program focuses on helping studios grow their potential while strengthening local and global game development communities. This year’s programme reflects a growing recognition of Africa’s creative and technical talent, with the number of participating studios doubled in response to the volume and quality of applications received.

The official kickoff took place on 4 December 2025, in Cape Town, in collaboration with Africa Games Week, bringing together developers, industry leaders, and partners to celebrate African game development on a global stage.

Xbox Game Camp Africa is open to studios working across software development, game development, visual arts, 3D visualisation, music and audio, and web design. Selected studios gain access to expert mentorship, industry tools, and hands-on project support through partnerships with ID@Xbox and the Developer Acceleration Program.

Being part of Xbox Game Camp Africa is a powerful validation of the work studios are doing, and a major step forward as they continue to build bold, culturally grounded games with global reach.
