The annual Devcom Developer Conferenceofficially returned on 18 August 2025 at Cologne, Germany- opening with the Devcom Awards – a celebration of excellence and innovation in game development.
As the official developer conference of gamescom, Devcom is recognized as Europe’s largest community-driven event for games industry professionals. Beyond its flagship conference, Devcom continues to provide year-round content, events, and services, all guided by its core values of diversity, inclusion, and sustainability.
The opening day of this year’s conference concluded on a high note with the premiere edition of the Devcom Awards, held at the Keynote Stage and hosted by Deborah Mensah-Bonsu. The live ceremony featured appearances from notable industry leaders, including:

The Indie Games categories were curated in collaboration with Devcom partners Epic Games Store, IGDA, Spielfabrique, and astragon Entertainment, with selections made through the Devcom Indie Expo. Meanwhile, winners of the Game Design Excellence and Ambassador Award were chosen by industry votes.
With its strong start, Devcom Developer Conference 2025 has set the stage for a week of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and recognition of the talent shaping the global games industry.
